Watch serial numbers

When it comes to Rolex watches, you may have heard people talk about serial numbers as well as models. In older watches, serial numbers correlate to the year of manufacture.

But from 2010 onwards, Rolex randomised their serial numbers, so it’s no longer a reference for age.

Serial numbers are stamped on the watch case at six o’clock. The bracelet must be released from the watch case in order for you to see the number.

This should only be carried out by an experienced watch maker.
